When you leave your Pet.
Leaving your Pet to go on holiday can be traumatic for everyone: here are some ideas that will make their
stay easier.
1. Be Cheerful. Remember your pet experiences your feelings so make a point of being happy and cheerful
when you book them into their Holiday Cottage.
2. Bring their favorite blanket, toy, snack etc. It will make them feel safe.
3. Do not wash their blankets and toys before you book them in. The scent will be familiar and it will make
them feel more at home.
4. If you are are booking in a dog that is especially attached to you, please send an old unwashed clothing
item or rag that you have handled with so that they can have your 'smell' with them in their bed. It makes
them feel much safer to know that you are near.

No New Beds Please!!
5. Don't buy new beds or blankets for you dog's stay. Anxious and board pets can chew and tear up their
bedding like it's nobodies business! So rather stick to their old bedding. You can rather treat them to a
new bed or blanket as a welcome home present.
6. Remember to bring a lead. It will help with guiding your dog into the Holiday Cottage, and we like to take
the dogs out for regular walks.
7. Food: Bring your pets own food. It is important that we feed your pet the same food that they are used to.
It prevents upset tummies, or unwillingness to eat new food.
8. Feeding instructions: Please fill in specific feeding instructions on the Registration form that you will
receive upon arrival.
9. Medicine: we have dedicated an entire page to medication and vaccination- Please read it through it will
provide you with the necessary info that you will need.
10. Lastly RELAX! It is not so bad! We love animals- we would not be in this business if we didn't, we will
take very good care of your pets, we welcome phone calls and sms's to find out how your pet is doing.
